We are  into the second week now; this is where the inspiration often changes, going deeper as the mind and imagination opens up to endless possibilities…..

April 8th

We waited alone

Never daring to look back

As the seas raged on

Old words wrought in blood

Secrets whispered to the winds

Only now hit home…

In dark magic bound

Sigils of fire made traces

Scored upon the sands

Those who rape my land

I will curse them til I die

And the seas rage high…

April 9th

I should never have let you kiss me

Yet kiss me you did

I should have never have let you touch me

But touch me you did

I should never have let you whisper my name

In that voice so silky soft and tender

I should have turned away when you offered me the world

Yet I stayed to listen

I should have brushed off your embrace

Your kisses and caresses

All of these things and more

I should have walked away from

Yet I stayed

And embraced the pureness of your innocent heart

But honey, in one swift and fleeting moment

It was my darkness

My gift

That gave you death….

April 10th

That moment of stark realisation when you look in the mirror

And do not recognise the person starring back at you.

Where did the ‘you’ that you always thought you were go to?

Where did the years go?

That ‘blink of an eye’ now feels more like a ‘shudder in hell’

This person staring back through the mirror is a total stranger.

When did we become this person?

When did this transformation happen?

How do we start to be this person we don’t actually know;

This lined and aged faced person?

How do we adapt to an old strange face, a lumpy, droopy body

When the essence within is forever young and yearning to fly free?

Is still living in hope that tomorrow will come

And everything will change.

We stand upon the shores of time within our illusion

As time simply marches on by

Right under our very feet.

Time never gives a dam,

It leaves us reeling in its relentless wake

Churning up all who stand in its way.

We can’t go back and change things

Though often we badly wish to do so

But instead we keep all those never lived dreams

Tucked well away inside

Where we can no longer find them,

Hidden away with the hope that our day will come

Til we perchance to look once more into that deadly mirror of truth

To realise that our day actually came and went…

April 11th

Chemtrail traces spun

Across the skies; back and forth

Big spidery lies

April 12th

Fleeting words today
Someone stuck a knife in me
Or it feels like it!

April 13th

When night time falls it is always your face I see among the stars
And I am transported back to the days of innocence and youth.
When everything I believed in held no doubts,
Before time changed and the world moved on.
It was your face upon the pale lace pillow then I saw,
Softly sleeping with dreams yet untold,
Your very breath; your very existence filled my dreams.
Time stretched on and on and the days were endless
Filled with love and unending desire
And the bravado of youth;
The becoming into the true dreamtime of our lives.
Cups were duly filled and overflowing
With all that we ever felt possible.
You got me
And saved me
And yet I you.
Lying on our backs on the warm sand
We watched the stars
And would share the tales of the gods and all their mighty power;
Their nightly battles among the stars.
Planets shattering in the morning light
As dreams would too
One day.
Yet youth lies and tells us for ever really is forever.
Youth knows nothing of time
Of fading dreams
And lost hope.
Youth traces the pattern of vibrancy and desire upon our skins.
Youth slips into our minds and transports us to a world
Of endless possibilities
Carrying us away upon a transient tide of our own making.
Deftly the thin fingers of time trace their dark intricacies across our bodies,
Cutting furrows and scars both seen and unseen.
Time both takes and gives
And cares not which.
What was once endless
Has now ended.
What was once passion
Is now quiet contemplation.
What was once desire
Is now only a searched for memory,
An imprint in the sands of time
Where once our bodies lay.
And when night time falls it is always your face I see among the stars
And I am transported once more back to those days of our innocence and youth.

April 14th

Poison rain drips down

Is this really our future?

That future is here

“The Keeper of Scrolls”

Sacred Words

One never hungers

At the altar

Of the written word

Words and thoughts

Pray for release

To be eternally recorded

Scribed into history

Time lost in scribblings and writings

Whole days devoured by time

Vast worlds of illumination

Unending

Is it a real world?

You ask

But it is my world

And as real to me

As yours to you

I the creator

Of a world of words

A living sacrament

Bleeding on to virgin white

Drip…drip…drip

Words that drip like life-blood

Upon my thirsty soul

A constant flow

Upon my life

Sacred offerings

To my sanity

My lifeline

My flow of love

Within my life

I am blessed

Dam Skeleton

I can’t remember exactly when

The skeleton got in the cupboard

But I must have put it there

Otherwise how did it get there?

Secreted under killer heels never worn

And black boots that are

Rattling bones of life

Draped in yesterdays clobber

Old bones, new bones

Hidden behind mountainous ironing

Destined for the charity run

Slumbering in the knowledge

That they are buried safe and sound

For now

Hidden ominously in my cupboard

This skeleton

Brittle bones of memory

Yet clattering’s of present times too

Rattling around

Lurking

Hiding

In the safety of the closet

Bare bones of truth hidden

One long spiky digit

That used to be a finger

Hooks itself under the door

F**k this I shout

And kick shut the door

A kiss…

One single kiss

It was only a kiss

One single cursed kiss

A wanted kiss

A craved for kiss

A kiss of life

A kiss from death

One single beautiful kiss

Simply a kiss

That was all it was

Just a kiss

A doomed kiss

A forbidden kiss

Heralding midnight

Binding

Just one kiss

A bloodied kiss

A twilight kiss

From velvet lips

Heavily ruby stained

A kiss

Such a kiss

Once kissed

Never unkissed

Never ungiven

Always beholden

To the one

With rose nectar smeared

Upon blood-rose lips

In blood ties bound

By life as now by death

A ‘word a line’ poem birthed from insomnia…

Night, Dark, Sleep, Rest, Pain, Hurt, Withdrawn, Yes, Hurting, Hide, Night, Dives, Panic, Endless, Swimming, Drowning, Headless, Sighing, Dying, Living, Crying, Surviving, Strength, Strong, Life, Long, Deep, Wonder, Hunger, Found, Love, Group, Hope, Hunger, Faded, Jaded, Heart, Soul, Live, Forever, Human, Never, Lips, Kiss, Hidden, Forbidden, Bound, Binding, Living, Dying.

Transforms into…

In the cradle of Night

Dark thoughts become palpable so Sleep eludes

A world of fleeting Rest, snuggling with Pain and Hurt

So Withdrawn and Yes still Hurting

Nowhere to Hide in a tragedy where Night Dives in Panic

Questing for you is an Endless cycle

Swimming in the hope of finding you

Yet Drowning in the reality of not

Diving Headless into truth

Real time thoughts Sighing into Dying

But forever Living

Yet Crying for freedom

Somehow Surviving with Strength unknown

Strong with the blood of Life

Yet the Long soul search

Of a Deep soul connection and a Wonder

Is the Hunger not Found

The Love that exists in spirit; above and beyond

Group Hope into Hunger

Not Faded

Never Jaded in this land of eternal midnight

A Heart and Soul can speak, can Live Forever

Cast into a Human shell

Never once were scarlet Lips

Satiated by one sweet Kiss

Worlds Hidden, love Forbidden

Hearts Bound in a Binding

Call this Living?

I call this Dying?

The White Rose

I gave you a pure white rose

You held it in your hand

And stared into space

The sun moon and stars bowed down

We were children of the universe

Caught in time

The path twisted and turned and spiralled in

We couldn’t loose our way

And yet we did

We were children of the universe

Lost in time

Still grasping one white rose

In the Blink of an Eye

In the blink of an eye

Everything can change

In one fleeting moment

Life becomes death

In a twist of fate

Light become dark

And the sun no longer shines

Blood upon the knife

On the tide of eternity

Thoughts become deeds

The ebb-tide kisses the shore

The wind screeches cruelly

Between the heart beat

Of knowing and unknowing

A chasm of reality extends

The moment is captured

Upon the tip of the sword

The secrets of blood flow

Bleeding into a vastness

Of human unknowing

When the key of time

Is broke in the lock

And the seals all opened

The sword is the final word

When death stamps its seal

With its hardened hand

Mourn for that which is lost

That which never can be

In the blink of an eye

The universe spoke

The unspoken word

Blood dripped…

I Reveal…

Cranky?

Probably

Weird?

Definitely

Normal?

Not

Who am i?

Only I know

And maybe

Only I ever will

But each day that I write

A tiny part of me reveals
